Whilst drinking tea and after I finally got the message, and suggested I get the bill, she asked are you sure, are you sure? She still wanted me to sit there and continue trying to win her over, even although she had no real interest in me... Actually and frankly speaking a nasty little piece of work... Self serving to the nth degree.

Absolutely!
Your mistake is that you asked the interpreter about "another girl".
That would be an instant turn off for me.
As for the words (about offence) that she used- it is  another language for the God's sake! The way people express what they think is different (from Amer. English).
