Before a meeting of course. I feel that it is easy to get stuck into pen-pal mode; describing my city, her city, interests, etc. but what are ways that you push the conversation into the possible romantic in order to gear up for a visit.

It's been my experience that you do not need to 'push' the conversation into romantic mode.  FSU women seem to have a knack of deciding when it is time for them to transition into 'romantic mode'.  Sometimes pushing it early will not produce the results you are wanting or expecting.  Once a FSU woman knows you are real and are serious in your quest to find a wife, and has developed a bit of trust in you, she will start sending little hints in the conversations.  IMO it is not something you want to rush.  There is no timetable.  It is true IMO that once she decides she wants you, there will be no ambiguity.

In spite of all the talk about FSU women wanting a strong (in charge) man for a husband, I have yet to find one that wants a man that is overpowering and assertive in the initial stages of a romance.

I don't have any experience.  I have only talked online to Elena, but calmissile seems to be right.

I am not sure how it happened, but Elena did ask me about how I like to sleep and at the same time told me she likes to sleep with her head on her man's shoulder.  Somehow it simply came up in the conversation. *shrug*

I'd say to not think about it.  To talk to her as a man that is looking for a relationship, not a sex tour, and she will bring it around to the topic.

But hey, I have only worked with one woman.  Read Calmissile's TR on his trip, it is well written and informative.

Ok, I guess it is better to take it in stride. I am not really familiar with Russians, but I'm guessing that just by being on a marriage agency website, that she will not "friend-zone" for lack of intent. It is pretty obvious I think she's hot, and want a relationship, otherwise I wouldnt be on it and neither would she  :P

Anyhow, it's been my experience that women either want you or they don't. The fact that we are still talking must mean something.

Well, I'll enjoy the ride and see where it takes me.
