The Polish Century?

Here George Friedman of Stratfor discusses the future of Europe and comes up with an interesting thesis: Polish leadership



For the first 10 minutes, Friedman disparages Americans and embraces what I call "loser talk."  He also does not grasp that that Europe is losing power because it has lost its faith, coincidence.  He then compares the diplomats of Edwardian Europe and to US-Soviet diplomats.  in doing so, Friedman  makes an error of gross negligence as the Edwardian diplomats did not know the disaster of WWI whereas US-Soviet diplomats knew the disaster of WWIII.

Friedman is right about the Georgian War.  He also declares austerity as an enemy where it could be an opportunity.  If austerity is as he says the devastation of generations, people just move.

If austerity is debt slavery for its citizens then you have revolution. If austerity means divesting the state of its welfare programs and socialism and a return to free market capitalism then you have prosperity.

But he has observed that Germany has popped out of Europe and that Europe is too small for Germany.  He is also right about the decay of NATO and the decay of EU, and the promise of Poland.   He mentions Poland's strengths without acknowledging the greatest Pole that ever lived Karol Wojtyła.  And his prescription of Polish leadership can exist if Poland is loyal to its Mother Church.
