There is faulty logic at work here!

So, assume you have a daughter, or step daughter who is 20 years younger than you.  And then, you find yourself dating a woman that is her age later in life.   You often hear, in a voice that is very suspicious and accusatory, she is the same age as your daughter!   (As if you wanted to have sex with your daughter for crying out load).
I'm going to have to agree with you four square on that one.

I was HEAVILY interested in US politics in my youth.  Nowadays, it makes my want to vomit.

George Bush had a very unique opportunity to do something special after 9/11.  There was a rare unity for a time.  Nothing lasting, or positive materialized.

Obama has been a calming force.   GOD!  I hope 10 years from now we can stop talking about race (it has not happened yet).  He has been everything but a "leader."  But, maybe we did not need one?  Maybe this is "hang over" time.   However, there is the same smell of "elitism" in Progressive administrations as there was in Conservative - maybe worse!  They know better than us.

Alas, if you look at the county fair and see what the citizenry really looks like ... we deserve what we have.

The USA has a unique legacy - very admirable.  (Not perfect)  But, it would not hurt my feelings to live most of my life in other places.  I sort of like the thought for many reasons, actually.

This was quite a political and general answer bare of any specifics, I do agree with the hangover part.

Assuming you have the cash and no children to raise, why not live in other places?  I'd probably do the same thing, just for the adventure of it if nothing else.

Dude, what rock have you been under?  Your hero has increased the nations debt faster and more than all of the US Presidents combined. It is a runaway freight train and this President has not passed a budget since he has been in office. This Campaigner in Chief couldn't pour piss out of a boot with the directions on the bottom. Eventually, the money presses will stop, Quanititive Easing will cease and then, you'll understand just how wrong your statement is.

Obozo is no hero of mine, I did not vote for him either time and still wouldn't.  He often got a pass from the biased media because he is a Democrat and a minority, and he often tries to institute policies that I feel are too expensive and re-distributive.  That being said, in 2008 large companies were failing and it was looking like we were about to have riots.  Thanks in part to the various versions of QE, we now owe 17 trillion.  I guess a part of that plan is to inflate away, which will obviously lessen the real value of the 17 trillion, which at some point will probably peak at over 20 trillion.  The party has already wound down for most, but it is winding down slowly and many people are sobering up.   In 2008 it looked like we were going to hit a brick wall.  What I credit Obozo for is not doing anything TOO drastic, not entangling us in more stupid wars, (Like Syria), and basically staying out of the way.

I find that I am disagreeing just as much with the folk on the other side of the aisle as I am with Obozo.  I keep voting 3rd party and would like to see whichever party stick to causes for OUR country, and not other nations.

Fathertime!
I just happened to be browsing about the internet....
