Spanish Visa

I keep seeing a lot of different information about the Shengen Visa. I will be meeting some friends in Spain next Summer, but I keep getting conflicting or missing information about the visa requirements.  One place I looked said that it was 55 Euros a day, another said it was 100 Euros, another said there was no monetary requirements, 3 of them all have good jobs. The fourth doesn't have a job yet, and the other three will be paying her way. Does anyone know where I can get clear information about the requirements needed?

55 Euros/Day X 21 days = 1155 Euros just for the trip

Is there anything that says how much money you have to have to be able to make the trip? living expenses? Housing is already taken care of.

How about calling Spanish embassy in Moscow and ask them?
