A very lovely girl pointed out since i work from home i could live with her in her apartment in kiev where she had a good job and we didnt need to get into debt to buy a house, she didnt care if i earned any money or not.

Yes, a woman who does not care if her husband earns any money or not   Sorry, but call me skeptical. As for the working from home, I would say that this applies to few people. Also, in most cases, I expect that a person working from home overseas will eventually lose their networks and then their job. Plus, if the work can easily be done overseas, eventually somebody will figure out that it is cheaper to offshore it to India  ;)

The irony is she thought the economy in ukraine was doing better than most western places because they were used to being broke but werent in debt for everything so were better off. She had a point

I don't know about Ukraine, but I do know that debt is quite common in Russia and if you did not inherit an apartment, you have no choice but to get a mortgage as well.

A lot has changed, the eastern economies are improving as ours get worse, a lot of women are no longer interested in migration for economic or visa reasons, and simply want a good man.

Sure, they want a good man, but every woman that I met preferred a good man with a job ;)

As for the economy improving, I have my doubts that Ukraine's economy is booming. I was actually surprised today that my sister-in-law was telling my wife that there are rumours going around Russia that there will be soon another default. I was surprised as they tend to get their new from Channel 1 and thus tend to know what the state wants them to know. Plus, I was reading on vkontakte the information circulating highlighting that Russia now has record foreign debt: over $700 billion, more than the reserves, and the fear expressed was that if the latter was used to pay the former there would be no money left for pensions and salaries for state employees...

Firstly lol to the guy who made the third rate country comment about russia, you are either being ironic or have never been to detroit. I've seen as much poverty in the USa as i've seen in Russia, and lets not get started on the trillions of debt.

On a serious note and from personal experience.

If you genuinly feel you live in a superior country and your wife is from a third world state that you wouldn't live in and hate visiting either don't go there and marry a girl in your own country or prebook your divorce.

When my ex wifes visa was refused it started a 3 year battle with the immigration people that never got resolved, i did actually have to move to russia so we could be together and then we spent a good time travelling around as stateless refugees exercising EU family treaty rights before it all got too much.

For many reasons it might not work out in your own country. Maybe you lose your job and fall behind on your payments and get foreclosed? Maybe you get sick and she has to move back home to get a better job and have her family support? Maybe she just hates life in your country but still loves you.

I've been asked by countless girls to move to their country to be with them. I think its a first prize win in this game, it means she wants you and not your visa. A very lovely girl pointed out since i work from home i could live with her in her apartment in kiev where she had a good job and we didnt need to get into debt to buy a house, she didnt care if i earned any money or not.

Success! Im a mail order husband,!

In my experience the guys who do really well are world travellers, they are as happy to settle anywhere and are just as happy in their girls country as their own.

A lot has changed, the eastern economies are improving as ours get worse, a lot of women are no longer interested in migration for economic or visa reasons, and simply want a good man. The most genuine see no difference as to why you shouldnt move to them.

and yes i am happy to go wherever i meet the right girl.

Great post and couldn't agree with you more:))
