I am a fan of QI, Quite Interesting.  Today I came across this episode.  It amused me in regards to the current situation at RWD about style and substance of our posts.  If it insults someone to deem that I imply his/her advice is nothing more than "blowing smoke up our ass,"   I apologize.  Please accept that this in for the purpose of having fun, and the QI panel did have fun.



Question:  is this how the phrase "blowing smoke up our ass" originated?

I can immediately think of a couple of posters who I believe deserve this treatment, even though they may not be drowning, just to see the reaction.  And of course I'm not going to mention names, because that's against the  :rules:.  :D
