Not being in Ukraine right now, I was wondering for those who are currently living or visiting there, is life returning to normal?  Is it safe in the city, or the rest of Ukraine for that matter,  or are reports of wide spread criminal violence just Russian hyperbole?

My mother in law who lives in Ivano-Frankivsk which is in west Ukraine says everything if fine there. Plans to go there Sailor291? If so, what region?

Not planning on going, have been there many, many times before.  My wife is from western Ukraine and her mother still lives there.  She just keeps reading Russian media reports that crime is out of control which I completely believe is just the Russians drumming up reasons to invade, but that's just me.  I wanted the ground truth is what I was looking for.
