Russian Visa
« on: October 17, 2014, 10:31:26 AM »
Hate asking a question that has been answered 1000 times. But search is really not helping.

I'm in Seattle. I need a tourist visa for Saint-Petersburg and I need it in 8 days. There are two offices I can visit in Seattle: Consulate General and Visa APplication Center (ILS).

Consulate website is very vague and they don't answer the phone. Do I just show up?

So I set an appt with the Applicatinon Center (ILS) for Monday.

Which is the best option?

I have a voucher from the hotel.
I have filled out the application online and printed it (UGH).
The consulate website says bging $250 cashiers check for 2-3 day service. Is it the same with ILS?
Am I missing anything?

Are any of the online "Visa in X Days" sites legit?

Try Go To Russia web page and you can even call with questions. Not sure you can get one so quickly. As I understand it as of now only registered representatives can help you. Days are gone when you could just walk in the door.

Maybe someone has newer info than me ? But if I were you I would get going quickly.

http://www.passportsandvisas.com

Thank you! These guys are very legit. Almost doubles the cost, and you really won't get it any faster. But... they know the game and in my case they saved me from having an incomplete app, which would have busted my deadline. They took the stress out ofthe process which was worth the extra $.

They promise a visa in 5 days. Assume they delivered unless you see me here saying they didn't.

Some Russian consulates will not accept any application from anyone other than approved representatives. Also try www.travisa.com

They can expedite one as well.
