How do I sign up on VK with a UK mobile phone number?

So tried signing up on VK but when it gets to inputting my mobile number it doesn't take it and says it is incorrect number. I've tried all sorts of variations, with and without the 0, the 0 in () etc but nothing seems to work. The +44at the beginning I've also tried all sorts on. Wondering if any of you UK guys on here have any ideas or have found similar.

Joined up using the +44 7xxxxxxxxx format - no problem - your mobile is your fall-back when you lose the password.

Tried +1 instead of +44 it recognizes it as a number but doesn't go through to my phone, +44 it doesn't seems to recognize at all for me.

GatoMoon was simply agreeing with Moby, not offering an alternative!  I had no problem creating a VK profile with a New Zealand phone number (+64 XX...)

To further explain .... +1 is the code for America - whilst GTM was using it as a form of agreement ... It doesn't matter where you are... I can make a new vk account in Russia using another UK sim ... it works, fine, for me

I don't have a VK account but sometimes how you type a number in makes a difference. + ( ) - and sometimes spaces between numbers aren't even needed. Other times they some or all of the above are depending on the company you're signing up at.

Yeah, got it sorted now, I remembered I had an old Blackberry from years back, fortunately still worked, so used that to get the code. Used the +44 and it was fine, my new mobile however does not seem to work with this, dunno if it is the network provider or phone, EE/Samsung, or just bad luck, a glitch. Still all sorted out now though
