EM is NOT an agency.
THis a website you register and pay per month or half year (for men).
But EM also approaches agencies in RUssia an in Ukraine to get their women in.
WHo pay who ? Don't know but i think this is just an import of datas in the EM's database.
Logically EM should pay the agencies because i see not benefit for them from this.
So yes EM approaches agencies, i can guarantee you.

I've heard guys complain that EM should not be on the recommend list. It's common for feeder agencies to do business with bigger agencies. It's not practical for EM to run all over the FSU to get girls to sign up so they may obtain ladies info and photos from feeder agencies located in various cities. Although EM isn't a pay per letter site, they do get paid monthly from their customers and may pay some to the feeder agencies. It's important for EM to get feeder agencies "cream of the crop" ladies as that is what inspires men to sign up on their site over other sites. Part of the reason Anastasia Date is the largest is because they got lots of eye candy. It's hard to scam men when EM is not a pay per letter site but it's very possible they have some insincere ladies at their site who are playing men for the pay per letter feeder agencies.

She says she never signed up for numerous other sites including Anastasia yet had a profile on those sites. Her guess was that one of or perhaps all 3 of the sites she signed up on sold her profile. She did say she least suspected EMs of being the culprit

They don't run after girls for sure, but they run after some agencies, and i think they know which ones they are targetting, i am pretty sure that they have an exact picture in EM of who they want to contact.
For the insincere ladies, the two certified prodater/scammer i met was on EM, with certified passport.
But you cannot detect real women intentions, you can only after several meetings and constant questionning to your clients to know how they behave (and you need to take clients' opinions with a grain of salt of course) and make some definitive conclusions.

With deference to LAMan, I was not trying to be cute with my response. 

I never really contemplated whether Elena's got women to sign up by contacting the bigger agencies and buying participants.  I'm sure it could happen.  But I am also fairly certain that the gals I talked to when I was in the hunt were there as a result of word of mouth, not agency contact.

I would be interested to hear any evidence either way.  I note that some of the pictures on Elena's were obviously done as part of a portfolio that included photoshopping, etc.  So I will revise my former statements and keep an open mind.

The problem is that many agencies close a deal with other companies but never tell to their women. Not talking about stolen photos.

She didn't think it was EMs either. This was in 2005-06. I could be mistaken, Cindy might have been one that lifted it. IIRC, they were all Russian sites. Her pics and info was on several she didn't join and didn't receive any contact from.

She said she was never contacted from any of them. I don't know if they were sold or stolen, she doesn't either. Other sites lifting them seemed to be the norm in that time frame. I suppose it still is. I didn't give it much thought then or now.
