Delta

Delta says it is stopping all service to Moscow in Sept. To bad for me as it was very convenient. Also, can't stand those very early am departures from SVO so many others have.

Who are the other big carriers that fly to Russia from here?  I don't think United does anymore but I might be wrong.  I was looking for tickets to Moscow for next month and couldn't find anything through United's website.

KLM, Lufthansa, Lot, Air France just a few off the top of my head. No non stops from U.S. that I am aware of.

Strange that I can't book anything through United then (I'm a slave to their miles) since Lufthansa is a partner.

Chicago....I checked on sites and they still show flights into Moscow even into November on Delta. Not sure what it all means....

Delta announced today that it is cutting several flights on international routes, apparently because of the strong U.S. dollar.  I assume that means competitors are offering flights at lower cost, but that is pure speculation.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

OK, I see the correlation.  The strong US dollar means less profit in foreign currency.

UAL stopped flying to Moscow several years ago, about the time of the United-Continental merger. Couldn't you fly United to Germany/Switzerland/Poland then connect to Moscow on one of its Star Alliance partners using your UAL frequent flyer miles? I connect on Lufthansa to Lviv frequently, through Munchen. LH, I think, is the best airline in Europe in terms of efficiency and pax service.
