how did I get here
« on: December 20, 2013, 04:52:01 AM »
Hello tfcrew, it made sense as it's a good thing to get experience before making life changing decisions although I'll admit that those of us above a certain age should know what we want in a woman wherever she's from. Also it helped me put a positive spin on the trip.

Thanks for the welcome Gator, I was intending to write as trips occurred but it's been so hectic - same as everyone else's life really, just didn't make the time. I'll continue & it'll become apparent.

I redezvous'ed with badoo lady in June in Carcassonne, southern France. She flew from Moscow to Paris, Paris to Toulouse, then caught the train to Carc. I flew from Bournemouth to Carc. , although it was Easyjet. She knocked on my hotel room at about 6pm, I held my breath, she was just as pretty as I remembered her in February, we hadn't skyped in that time. We went for coffee to wake her up. In Moscow she'd been friendly enough, but very cool, here she seemed much more relaxed & laughed easily. I like to think my delivery has improved. Carc. has the most beautiful, complete, medieval city, albeit heavily restored about 150 years ago. I wanted to show her the old city, lit up at night. So we had a great first night, just wandering around, had a meal & there was even a festival going on with live music in the streets & parks. We said good night & I was still none the wiser about where this was going.

The next day we drove to the Haute Languedoc National Parc where I'd booked a 17th century village house. Nothing pricey, just a really nice place with thick wooden beams in a very small, quiet village on the side of the River Orb valley. The scenery there was spectacular, that afternoon we visited some swimming rock pools nearby where we were able to 'check each other out' in our bathers.
The weather was just great, we went kayaking, mountain biking, played table tennis, ate in cute places by the rivers & after 6 days moved to an appt. in Narbonne. Another great small city with old narrow streets & a huge, unfinished cathedral. We stayed there for 4 nights & celebrated her birthday(42nd, I'm 49). At the end I dropped her off at Toulouse airport (least I could do) & I flew from Carc. At the start of the holiday we'd agreed to go halfs on everything as she said 'I feel more comfortable this way'. More about this later.

I can honestly say this was the best holiday I'd ever had. It surpassed all my expectations & yes, I know what you're thinking, we did drink some great wine.

We're off to a Moscow gym now, this evening we're taking a walk round the city as they've really made an effort with the Xmas lights. Tomorrow we fly to the UK. I'll continue as soon as. Roy
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right. HF
