Trip Report - New and exciting
« on: May 25, 2022, 07:21:31 AM »
Got up this morning at usual time.
Disappointed when I realized wife was still missing.
She returns from Ireland on Friday evening.
Have been coordinating with workers putting in new water lines, electric, phone, and cable.  But no one working today, so decided to go out for breakfast.
Went to IHOP as I had coupon for free stack of pancakes.
Anyone can get such coupons on birthdays and on anniversary of signing up, by signing up.
After eating, I drove to a garden supply store and purchased some fertilizer for acid loving plants.
Then on to pharmacy to get refill of Benzonatate for strong cough.
I am having seasonal allergies and have substantial lung congestion.
Next to WalMart to pick up several food items and other miscellaneous  items.
Noticed that regular gas is $4.89 here.
Upon returning to home area, I drove up a small hill where basement walls were being poured with concrete for one of two houses being built in my small development.
Noticed that one of the huge cement trucks had driven one set of wheels through a corner and edge of the yard of an existing home making a depression about 5-6 inches deep and 30 feet long.  This owner had the best grass here; so he is really going to be peeeeeed.
Yesterday, basement floor was poured with concrete in the second house.
Three more house will start this summer;  or maybe be delayed depending on material prices.  None of the 3 buyers seem to be in any hurry.
Reminded of a joke that the latest lottery winner received a tank of gas and a sheet of plywood.
Have 3 parcels of land left to sell, each two acres in size.
Wife thinks we should just keep them for awhile; but property taxes and brush hogging will eat up a bunch of money over time.
Then on down to my own house to put away groceries, check my emails and discussion sites; and now will watch DW German news recorded at 11 PM last night.
This completes my round trip report.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.
