At face value that's good advice Shadow but things are rarely that simple. The hypergamy scale would be kicking in majorly against me in such a situation. The girl would probably quickly get tired off me if I didn't up my game. I mean it might work but be dependent on the girl and the situation....

So I've either got to really bring my life along or get a girl who suits me in some particular sort of way.

Would a woman, in any country, prefer a talented, but penniless musician or a brickie who has reliable and constant earnings? If a job is legal it doesn't matter what you do. What a woman doesn't want I venture to suggest is pie in the sky dreams. If a woman doesn't like how your make your money she isn't the one for you.

Let me be very direct. If you can not handle it, do not read this.
What I see from your many posts is that if you ever manageto get over to the FSU you might as well have a huge target on your back.You are not ready. Not for a relationship with a local woman, not for anything else.
In ancient time you could have found a virgin, raped her and pay 50 shekels to her father in order to make her your wife that you can not divorce. But Biblical times are over.
Unless you change your mindset to finding an equal partner to share your life with instead of a slave, you will not get anywhere.
Take a cluebat, hit yourself on the head a few times and start over with your thoughts on life.
