Im back!
« on: September 21, 2006, 09:45:32 AM »
Havent been around for a while... Heard about the new boards here so I thought Id say hello!

Met my wife in 2002, did lots of traveling to Russia and Ukraine, she came to the US in 2004, we got married, found an apartment, saved up all our money and just bought a house!

We had all sorts of problems getting her adjustment of status once she wasin the states here. I finally had to call my congressman who helped me out immediately. We were actually denied adjustment due to a clerical error on BSCIS fault. It really angered me no one would take responsibilty for the error in downtown L.A. so I created quite the ruckus, told them to go F themselves basically and got astanding ovation from hundreds waiting in line. I was escorted out, but had my congressmans phone # in hand who got us next day private interview with someone important there.

All is well. Hope to chat with new people here and old friends especially!

Welcome again. It shows that we have to work harder than usual to find the love of our life. A little bit of defiance and stubbornnes is needed to survive this game.

Yo, Rasdave!

For all you guys reading this, rasdave posted some great threads at RWG a few years ago (I was Trip Reports Moderator at the time).

Ras is one of the younger dudes who went through the process and generously shared his experiences with the rest of us.  I hope he can find the time to check in and share his expertise with the members here at RWD.

Perhaps he could help set up a L.A. Local Group for Dan with some of you other SoCal homies, so you could all meet and talk face-to-face?

Especially, I would imagine, when you're married to a lovely Ukrainian lady, AJ.

And, while I have nothing against dogs, I'd rather see a new avatar of you holding your beautiful bride!  Helps the newbies see the end-result of this process, you know ;-).

Continued good fortune to you and yours.

LOL Bill!

that avatar was put up awhile ago and was really for  jb,
his infamous "picking out a puppy" analogy that always cracked me up. :D

noone seemed to get it, i guess i was too subtle!!

certainly noone ever posted,
"nice puupy you picked out there AJ..she from volgograd or sochi perhaps?"  ;D

I will try and get a photo  up of us together that works well in an avatar..
newbies in the meantime will have to go to the gallery ,
or to the "posting pictures of your wife"  thread..
 :P

AJ,

No one commented on the dog?

Not true, I know I commented on your ugly dog once.

Nice puppy, AJ  ;D
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.  michelangelo
