Need Assistance with Test of New Chat Facility

Hi Everyone,

As recently announced, I plan to hold some upcoming events for Panel Discussions and Guest appearances at RWD.

The current Chat software works well for chats with about 10 people - but beyond that, it begins to have performance problems. My expectation for the upcoming special events is that we will have hundreds of online participants, hence, the existing chat will not support it.

I have installed a separate chat system for the special events - but before I take it 'live' I need your help to 'stress test' the software.

At Noon today (Eastern US time) - which is 9:00 AM Pacific, 10:00 AM Mountain, and 11:00 AM Central - I would like you all to join in the new chatroom so that we might see if it will support large numbers of users.

It worked ok to a point but there were many bugs.

I am still wondering if setting up a room in ICQ or Yahoo chat could be a temporary alternative. I have used them and they can handle more than 10 people but probably not 300.

Yeah - I am going to take that new software down. It offers nothing over the existing Chat software - AND - more importantly, I am pretty sure I found a solution for the LARGE Chat Events I have planned.
