our crazy pets
« on: December 08, 2006, 07:44:56 AM »
My stepson brought his pet Shih-Tzu from Ukraine. The dog loves to steal our socks and shoes. Last night I was looking for my missing slipper and my wife found it under the couch along with eight bottle caps and three pens. My cat loves bottle caps and pens. He has developed a new trick, he will stand on a table and swat at the push pins in our bulletin board, knocking them onto the floor for us to step on. Sometimes I come home from work to find the papers from the bulletin board scattered about with the push pins. Another trick my cat has is to take the metal drain stopper from the bathroom sink to different rooms throughout the apartment. These animals are crazy.

I'm curious how difficult and how expensive it was to bring your dog to the US from Ukraine.  I've heard that pets often take on the personalities of their owners  :D

It was several hundred dollars and a headache at customs, to bring the dog here. They were the last ones through customs after I had thrown a fit with the guard and other employees who just didn't seem to care. I got to JFK at 1:30, they landed at 3 and did not get through customs until after 6. I think there were 5 international flights landing at the same time.
