Many Australian Expats in Kiev???

I arrive in Kiev on Australia Day (January 26) and wonder if there are many Australian ex-pats, in Kiev and where I might find them?

I hear O'Brien's is a popular ex-pat pub...  maybe this would be a good starting point?

It might be an "interesting" experience to catch up with some Aussies on our national day.

You have not received any response, which probably indirectly answers your question.

As for O'Brien's, it has been one of the more popular expat hangouts for years - and would probably be a good place to start for seeing if there are other Aussies around in Kyiv.

A few other places to consider:

Arizona BBQ has always been a favorite for the expat crowd.

Check with the Australian Consulate (Kiev: +380 (44) 246 4223) in Kyiv - sometimes they will have references. I could not locate their website, so may need to call.

Also, check to see if Australia has anything like the American Chamber of Commerce in Kyiv (www.amcham.kiev.ua). It has proven to be a VERY productive source of information and contacts for me.

There is a few scattered around Kiev that I am vaguely aware of, but I doubt you'll find too many of them out pubbing at this time of year.  Visitors from here are pretty thin on the ground up there at this time also for obvious reasons.
