Ukraine drivers license valid in the US?

My wife has her driver's license here in Ukraine and I was wondering if she can drive with it in the US.  Does she need and can she get an international drivers license?

Anyone can get an international driving licence.

Her Ukraine license is not valid in California. . . . You need an International Driver's License. And BTW, if her presence is other than temporary, an international driver's license is subject to the laws of the state in which she is present. If she is more than a tourist, she has to comply with the state licensure rules. While an international license might avoid her a ticket, CHP tickets for that all the time. Even out of staters can have problems here if they relocate.

It depends on the state. In my state,my license was valid for a month. Read the Driver guide of your state,there they notice for what time a foreigner license is valid.

I found my answer.  You are right, it is different for each state.  In Utah, where we will be going, as long as she has an English translation of her Ukraine driver's license, it is good for up to 6 months.  After that, she would have to get a Utah drivers license but she wouldn't need to complete drivers school or take the driving test.

Hmmm,as I know anyone has to take the driving test. But havent visit a school. She will just read the drivers rules and go to take a computer and practical tests. Which is very easy in comparing to Ukraine. In many states you even can pass them in russian(the computer tests). There is nothing to do.
