As many of you know, RWD has a sister site covering the Asian and Latin geographies at Planet-Love.com. One of the agencies there, LatinIntro and their owner Nelson Grisales, has been deeply involved with production of a movie which was just released in Colombia, and which presents the courtship and marriage of a western man with a Latina woman. If you want to learn a little more about it, visit the website at --

Following is a synopsis of the movie:
In the times of cell phones, internet and instant messaging people are still finding it harder and harder to connect with someone and find their soul mate. Millions of people are turning to dating agencies all over the world to meet someone, connect and fall in love. Gringo Wedding takes us on a rollercoaster of laughs as we follow Matt Goldman and other ‘gringos’ as they search for their ‘Latina brides’.
Gringo Wedding is a hilarious and unforgettable romantic comedy set across two continents, where Rebecca Gonzalez (Ana Lucia Dominguez) and Matt Goldman (Justin Kane) meet through the dating agency, “Agencia del Amor” (Agency of Love). The agency is run by a cast of misfits, geared to make love a reality for many misguided souls. Matt and Rebecca soon fall in love despite the fact they do not have a common language. Javier (Sebastian Boscan) steps in as the translator extraordinaire to bring the couple together through his over the top translations and hilarious encounters. The conflict begins when the families of Rebecca and Matt oppose their wedding plans. The parents can only see disaster with the differences in religion, culture, and language. Matt and Rebecca, armed with their flamboyant translator Javier, venture into the pursuit of happiness and long life together. Gringo Wedding is full of laughter and romance, but at the same time a thought provoking story where we witness the common values of love and friendship.
I am looking forward to its release in the US. Sounds fun.
