We consider our experience with INS very good and they processed our paperwork fairly quickly.  I do believe, however, that we may be an exception to the rule.

Hope this will be of interest to someone.

Definitely an exception compared with my experience.  AOS is running over 2 1/2 years in my region!

This time line is remarkable in that it came out of the TSC.  Texas Service Center has always had the reputation for being the slowest of the slow.

Well done.

Bruce, parts of Florida also run slowly. In the Orlando area,  friends of ours (who filed AOS several months before we did) are still waiting for the interview while we've had green cards since last May.

I filed the initial paperwork on Jan 3 from the Northeast region, and our K1 interview at the Warsaw embassy is scheduled for May 13.

It is my understanding that the number of applicants through Warsaw has been steadily increasing in the past several months and that processing times are beginning to be extended.  Kate's friend had hers processed in about 2 weeks shorter time from the receipt in Warsaw than we did and she applied only 3 months earlier.

Still, I guess just over 5 months isn't so bad for the wheels of government...such as it is.
