« on: May 17, 2007, 03:50:05 PM »
Well boys, I have decided to go see Natasha from Lugansk for two weeks...
I have know her for 2 months, sent her money two times, her mother and grandmother are sick and they dont have enough money! Her brother Yuri is unemployed!
I will hire Pavel to be my guide for 3 days in Kiev!

Have I missed anything?
I hope not!

I think I will meet many nice people in this trip!

It's always best to pack a dead cat in your suitcase for the sick grandmother.  They're weird like that.   It's some kind of home remedy...

And chicken feet. Lots of chicken feet. Wrap them gently in new uncrumpled $100 bills. She, mama, and Yuri will be very happy to get these magical gifts. They will immediately feel better.

There are also a few more commandments to break. Don't worry, you'll find a way to accomplish this too.

We shall believe you went to Lungansk only AFTER you post an extensive T/R, with recent photos of the happy family (this one is slightly out of date) ;D.

Please say that this is a joke Scorpion. You know that you NEVER EVER send money to a girl you never meet??? And Lugansk is the scammer capitol in Ukraine. Be very carefull there, a lot of mafia in Lugansk.

This look like a clasical scam, but maybe you have meet this girl before you go this time/ If not I feel sorry for you.

Just got back from Lugansk today after a 10 day visit. Some things have been changing for the better over the last 4 years that I have been travelling there. More western stores moving into the city and they recently opened up a new mall. Prices for flats have really gone up and average cost is about 60K for a nicer flat. Police do not bother the tourists, but they still like to hassle the local drivers for bribes, mainly the poorer ones in the Ladas. Mafia is much easier to spot (they like to drive the Mercedes)  Everyone seems to know who the big shot is in Lugansk. He drives the only H1 Hummer in town. Silver in color. Seen it a few times while I was there and he gets to park wherever he wishes.
