Greeting
« on: September 02, 2007, 06:44:17 PM »
This is my first post.  I am married to a lady from Russia.  I think I will enjoy reading a lot of the posts here.  I know I will need information about filing the I-751.  I am not sure which forum to go to for information.  I wish everyone success in their ventures.  Have a great day.

Welcome, John!  And congrats are in order for your "time served"....

I-751 for Removal of Conditions should be filed during the 90 day period
preceding the 2 year anniv. of green card issuance, for starters. There've
been several threads about 751 time in the Immigration/Visa Section....

Hope to see more of you around here!

Vaughn

Welcome to RWD John!

Where in Russia is your wife from? Where do you live now? How was her adjustment?

Sorry to be a pest but it would be nice to know a bit more about your situation.

Vaughn, thanks for the information.  I posted there, but not much help.

Ken, my wife is from Dzerzhinsk, about 250 miles east of Moscow.  Her and her daughter's adjustment in New Orleans was very smooth.  We live in Jackson, MS.  We are very happy together, once we got through a few "discussions" about finances.  :-)  She is a great lady and a great wife.  What about you?

Elena is from Omsk and we've been married close to 3 years now. So far so good as she still puts up with me!  :D

Though sometimes I wonder when you are married , you are supposed to be more with your family and with your wife, and we are having more people here who are married which can tell that nothing much attracts them to be with the family , or am I again annoying ???? ;)

Jazzyclassy, thanks for the welcome.  I do spend time with my family, a lot of time.  Right now, my wife is back in Russia for a month.  My step-daughter is visiting her boyfriend out of town.  Therefore, I am home alone.

I have a question posted about the I-751 under Immigration and Visa, but have not been able to get an answer to my questions yet.  I will spend time on here while my wife is gone and then come back to check on the posts.  I have been enjoying this site and am looking forward to learning from it.

Have a great day.

Welcome to the RWD, John.

Jazzy,

My wife is in Moscow right now and I'm sitting in a a motel on another job 340 miles from home, the stepson is home feeding the dogs.  I'm not neglecting my family by visiting the board every few hours while my guys are rained out in the field.  But thanks for your concern anyway.

(We got 9 inches of rain yesterday here.  It's a good thing I brought a boat with me.)

Jazzygirl,

There you go jumping to conclusions again without any basis in fact.

 Here's my example for you:

I check out the board through the day while I am at work and I check it out in the evenings when my wife has to work and I am home with Sergei. How is that neglecting my family?

I realize that at your age I was also "right" about everything and that all the profound thoughts and ideas that I had then would have changed the world into a perfect place to live so I do understand how you come up with some of the thoughts that you share here but eventually reality will make an appearance and introduce itself to you. Perhaps take a few minutes before you speak to think about other possibilities that could be happening.

Now that is the best advice that you have ever given!  :D

Simply how I read your statement Jazzygirl. Looks like it was how JB took it as well.

Don't you worry little one. Our families do not lack for attention or time.  ;)

Jazzy,

The wife is there on business, not for pleasure.

I'm here for business, not for pleasure.  If you think living in a hotel room for 60-70 days straight is fun, you've gotta be nuts.  I wouldn't do it either if it didn't pay so well, I'd rather be in Moscow with the wifiska.
