Rough patch at home and support from FSU
« on: March 18, 2013, 06:13:10 AM »
I am going through a rough moment in my personal life.  It will be over today, but the effects will last for years.   The last couple of weeks have been stressful.

This morning I got online with Elena for Skype.  She had sent me an email that it was very busy at work and if she hadn't planned to skype with me she would have skipped lunch and stayed at work, but that I was important to her and so...

At the end of a short 30 minute skype session, she wished me good luck.

The thing about this is that my ex wife never wished me luck, got angry if I was stressed and in general made it worse.  Maybe some of you have a different experience but for me Elena's care and concern feels very nice and comforting.

Pkeel, it is nice that Elena takes care about you by such a way. It is like things have to be between people who like ( or love ) each other. They will always support each other and do such even tiny things ( like wishing good luck of something else ), willing to see the other person feeling better, happier :)

I agree, people that care about each other want to make them feel good.

Thank-you all.

Tulip:  I agree it feels very nice for me to have support.  This is a completely new experience for me and it is a very nice feeling.

Brillynt:  Yes, she tells me I make her feel good often.  Mostly because I send her an email every single day for her to wake up to.  She tells me reading my email is the first thing she does every morning.  I am also going to send her a small bouquet to let her know i am grateful for her good wishes.

Steamer:  Yes it is bad, but it is just me.  And for the record it is now over and won't come up again for two years.

calmissile:  Your TR on your trip, the way you speak about L, and other things are a major part of what I joined here to enjoy.

so she dropped a hint that she was very busy at work, and would rather skype with you later...

... and you ignored her hint and proceeded to unload your personal problem on her?

NO!

What she said is I was important to her and she would not cancel the opportunity to skype with me.

You have it backwards...

I told her not to let me get her in trouble with work and she said...
"you are important to me
I still have time to solve the problems at work :)"

This is the support she offered to me. This is why I posted.  It is something I have not experienced.

Sounds like she really cares about you. Whatever problem you went through, I'm sure she's curious on how you handle it. She doesn't want to see you fall apart but show strength.
