How would feel about this: Tracking chips in kids' school clothing so that school officials can know their whereabouts during the school day?

Oh, it's happening. Ten students in a secondary school in the United Kingdom are being tracked through RFID implants in their school uniforms in a pilot program. Information Week reports that the kids attend Hungerhill School for ages 11-16 in Edenthorpe, England.

Add the RFID chips to increased video surveillance and fingerprinting of kids, and this is a heavily tracked generation.


Imagine this,, tracking your kids, husbands and wives so you always know where they are.... whats next?

Just a prelude to the mark of the beast!  Magnetic Tatoo anyone?  no thank you.

Don't need a chip. Just type in your girlfriend or soon to be ex girlfriends number here at trackyourpartner.com and through her cell phone # anywhere in the world, gps satellite will pinpoint her exact location. She could be at boyfriend #2's house! It's the preferred site recommended by police search and rescue.

One thing I can't understand,  when I typed in my own cell number in the search,  it found me so quickly,   low and behold, there I am on video right on my own computer.

Cats and dogs have these chips already a long time, and nobody complained.
In case of abduction people would give a lot to have such information.
That does not mean I would enjoy if it became obliged. A cellphone is enough to track a person...

I don't carry my cell phone often enough to track me.  The link BillyB posted was meant as a joke.

I supposed many kids  11- 16  have cell phones in America's largest cities,  but not so much outside USA. The idea is that the same chip technology will be made into an invisible ink tatoo read under a blue light, that will read like a bar code with all info to ID a person. I don't think it would work to well for fire victims tho.
