New Spousal Support Change in CA
« on: December 16, 2007, 07:48:42 PM »
Guess what? The CA legislature found another way to discourage marriage.

In the old days, you married, had kids, divorced and paid child support and spousal support (sometimes). Once you started doing that, you knew that eventually your children would become adults and your payments would go down.

Not any more. The ex will be able to go back to court solely because her cash went down with the child support reduction and try to hit you up for some more.

No justice. . . . .

And we thought that money was to support the needs of the kids, and not the ex-wife   :cluebat:

hmmm....  me thinks there are a lot of lawyers in the legislature and they think "going back to court" is good job security  ;D

Here's hoping for that big one where California falls off into the ocean.  :P
