Well, i will admit, i didn't do the turkey, mom's husband did, but me and my mom did the rest. I started experimenting with pumpkin cookies one week ahead and they were gone next morning after that  :), so I made them again on Thursday with icing and colourful sprinkles. Also corn bread turned out to be very delicious, soft inside and crispy outside....I am really glad.  :D

Much to be thankful for.

It pleases me to see you Anastasia, a RW, adopt the holiday.  Why not?  America is your country and the holiday is spiritual.

My sons drove three hours away to their mother (who has not seen them for 7 months), and I enjoyed a feast at the home of a British expat.

He has an AW wife and he has adopted the holiday with enthusiasm.  He even deep fried the turkey without setting the house on fire.  Delicious.  We had some Yorkshire pudding and some other British fare as well as the usual oyster stuffing, etc.

Ken, Lena is right on. Must have Cranberry sauce and the jellied kind not that compote crap.

I know there were marked cultural differences between my wife and I when I saw that she actually liked cranberry sauce.  What next, fruitcake?
