Hi Group...
Just got a mesage to check out this thread.
Yes I know this man & his wife & I have counceled him on several occaisions, however like a horse you can lead him to water but you can't make him drink.
Its a long story & I am headed out the door for Christmas with my family or part of it anyway, the best part still being in Tver.
If this thread is still going when I return in 3 days I'll relate my side & you can judge from there.

Ok, I voted troll before I saw Richards post. The guy has loser who can't be helped stamped all over him.
It would be easy for any man to simply change his banking information. Move to another apartment in Tver and
find another local gal who would appreciate him more. Trade the old wife off for a new, nicer improved model.
But he isn't going to do any of these things.

If I remember correctly this sounds like the same guy Richard mentioned when I was in Tver.  I would have to disagree with your statement, we are only getting one side of the story from a spinless man with no cajones.  The woman could be controlling the finances because he is irresponsible and she likes having at least the bare necessities one needs to survive. 

  I think this might be one of those situations where the guy is the problem and everyone would be better off if he just packed his bags and returned to Merry ol England.

It's really rather simple.  She puts up with him for his $200 a month pension and he puts up with her for her $300 a month income and both feel that their contribution gives them the right to bitch.

Probably because she would have a hard time getting a job there and then they would have to survive on his small pension and the cost of living is higher there.   Proably he is squatting in her apartment as well.    Also, if they moved to England, he would not have a good excuse for not getting a job.  It would be a real bummer for him to have to go to work each day.

to find another gal ,that would appreciate him,  the gal would have to value something in him..

he has no job, very little pension..
and lives with his wife, so essentially is homeless without her.

not very marketable husband or even boyfriend material..
the local gals dont have too much trouble finding local men like that ...

so his odds at the moment of doing *better*,
female companionship wise, than a wife, that works , provides him a place to live ,
and puts up with him , is not likely.

unless he has one heck of a sense of humor,
finding a better *sugar momma* in Russia , isn't going to be an easy task for this
particular gigalo..

Yeah, AJ I agree. I said the guy has loser written all over him. I would think that
some kind of pension from England would have to be $1,000 to $1,500 per month. That kind
of money would go quite a way in Tver. If his pension is only $300 per month what
kind of job could he have with a pension that low? Even a janitor at a school would have a pension 3 times higher than that. What am I missing?

Well there you go all !!
IF EVERY DAY WAS THE SAME, LIFE WOULD BE BORING NOT BY A LONG CHALK !! I am now on a roll boys`n gals and yes I respect Richard and yes I miss our discussions here in Tver and yes loser or not, I resolved the small domestic situation and do you know the saying " IT`S THE QUIET ONES YOU HAVE GOT TO WATCH " and I am a quiet and yet I never give up and never surrender to no one and especially this lady I am with I could call her all the names under the sun as I have learned Russian swear words, I have enough understanding of Russian language to get by as I have a very good memory. 

This is no lady she is my wife as the saying goes, I have a very good sense of humor and one has to have this living in Russia and I have to humour her and all Russians.
The thing is I have some EXTRA money tied up in assets SECRET this is, I have in no doubt keep my mouth shut about this as I am just playing a game of wits with her simple really. Like all things in life boy`s n gal`s you have to be one step ahead and reading all your replies well, it`s a joke right ? RIGHT !!!  so, thanks you all for your comments and like I said, its the quiet ones you have "TO WATCH !!!" 

Last but not least, she is in some ways my SPONSOR I use her to my advantage the best tactics all from my 13 weeks army training have been useful even to this day I can cook, clean and keep house as she is doing all the work i.e her job or as someone has mentioned find a younger model good one but, I am not interested. You see my sponsor has a good sense of humor she knows more than allot of other F S U as I am an observer  and when you live here one learns to keep ones mouth SHUT !!  I suppose in some ways she is looking after my interests and I know what you would say on this matter my favorite saying is and Richard has caught on to this saying:

                            " IT HAS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU "

I was going to jump in & relate my thoughts but after much reflection I have decided not to.
I have tried many times to turn this situation around when I was in Tver. He wouldn't listen then so I doubt he will take heed now.

About the only value I find in this story is that it reveals that marriage to a FSUW is not all sunshine and roses. 

I find it funnily ironic the a man who posts as "the honest guy", boasts of having assets hidden and kept secret from his wife.  I do not have that feature in my marriage, after almost 6 years, believe me, my wife knows to the penny how much we have stashed away.  She also know where all the bodies are buried, so I mind my Ps and Qs pretty much.

I also have difficulty believing anyone can live on a 3-4,000 ruble per month pension, at the current exchange rate that's about $160.00 usd.   I can't imagine any self respecting RW will put up with a leech like this unless she really and truly loves him.   I think the "honest Guy" should count his blessings and STFU.
