« on: September 13, 2005, 12:23:51 PM »
I am a happy man. My ladys Visa was approved today. They asked her one question. When I sent in photos for proof of relationship, there was a photo of me and several of my pals taken over the past year on trips to Ukraine She was asked to point me out and tell them my full name.. Man O Man , gotta love it...

This may sound weird, but my wife told me yesterday when she was talking to one of her RW friends, about a K-1 visa interview where the girl before her couldn't correctly pronounce her fiance's name!  She (the girl being interviewed) also didn't know her intended had been married two times before. The girl didn't get her visa - what a surprise!

So, when you look at the rejection rate for K-1s (IIRC around 8%), you have to keep in mind that some of the cases, while not visa fraud, are obviously not a match "made in heaven."

Darn, I have a really hard time pronouncing some of these Russian girl's names!  It's a good thing I can't be part of the interview :)
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.  michelangelo

Great Pat, now you can arrange the travel plans and have a good long stayover in AMS ;)
I hope the nerves are calm a little bit, but they will get high again before departure.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

Hello and thank you my friend. I am feeling very good about things now. Better now than I was early yesterday. Nerve racking is not the word for it. Knowing everything should be ok is fine, knowing that something could have gone  wrong is another.. I hope all is well with you an your lady.. I will talk to you , Ste and the gang sunday ...

Hi Pat,

Best of luck to you.

Pretty soon you may be in my situation and have no time to visit Sunday chat.

:(:(

Try to find some free moments whenever you can. I knew it was just a matter of time and she would be here.
