Ukrainian-women site/agency in Poltava

Arrived in Poltava and was taken to their office after sending emails for a week announcing my arrival.

Vera, the agency owner was out and was called when I arrived. I was told she would be back in 30minutes. Meanwhile I started to browse the listings which I think feed through to Angelica.net. After 5mins the connection was lost and could not be restored.

When Vera did not arrive I left to go eat lunch. By 5pm still no call back. A call over there got the same response... Vera is out and will be back in 30mins. I get call later I can here an upset Vera talking to the interpreter who is talking to me. I guess she does not speak english.

Despite receiving my emails I should have done about three things differently and the girls do not want to meet me for an assorted array of reasons. I then get a then minute lecture on what I should have done differently. I am informed that these girls are very picky and will not just meet anyone!

I point out that in every other town this is a simple process, show up, look through ladies, make appointment.

It is quite clear this woman does not care that I just travelled all this way at great expense to meet women in Poltava.

I would avoid this agency like the plague. The girls are obviously very over exposed.

Hmmm. I also have experience in Poltava and have used Alice Agency. I have to say that Alice Agency is about as good as it gets in FSU. If you think this is a scammer agency, you haven't seen anything yet. But you bring up a very good point; Poltava is a mini Kiev or Moscow.  Many of the women on Alice and other agency web-sites in Poltava have met many Americans and are picky. I think many foreigners have come to Poltava expecting better odds than in larger cities. Consequently meeting a westerner is not a big deal in this town. Anyone going there should definitely make it clear to an agency owner that they only want to meet serious girls and women who regularly make their meetings.  There are many women there that are testing the waters. Heart to Heart Agency (also in
Angelika Network) in Poltava is also a modeling agency, and therefore riddled with many pretty young women 18 to 23 year olds, but few to none are interested in marrying a foreigner.

Alice Agency also takes pictures of girls in a professional studio. One girl I met said it took 1 to 2 hours to put on the make-up and the session lasted 8 hours. They took over 100 photos. So needless to say, the girl you see in the photo may look vastly different from the woman you will meet.

When I went to Poltava, I also had a problem of women cancelling appointments or not being serious. If I could do it over I would recommend writing a few girls ahead of time so they would be more likely to meet with me. It appears some of the women listed are reluctant to meet with someone they have not communicated with before.

UnderDark, are they really that bad when you meet them, or are they just not glamorous? I don't mind a picky one. I can handle that.

I would like to reiterate that Alice Agency and its owner Vera are pretty good, but he women sometimes look different in person; either the face or the weight is different.  Like several people have suggested: try to get a look at them in person via photo or webcam.

And yes, times are changing, and women in this town, and perhaps many towns in FSU, are more picky.  The economic incentive and glamour of marrying a westerner is not as great a it once was.
