Need urgent and crucial travel help & advice..?!?

Hello everybody;

I'm a 26 year old guy from Turkey. I was raised and lived in Europe and USA for the last 10 years. Now, I have my own businesses and also doing my masters degree in Istanbul/Turkey. I've married once with my high school sweethearth and then got divorced after 4.5 years. Nowadays I'm looking for a bride-to-be from FSU. I don't want to try it with a Turkish lady once more, yet I wanna give this family thing another try.

To make a long story short; I'm looking for a 17 to 24 year old girl with some education, culture and manners.
*I have a budget of 1.000 to 1.500 USD(excluding the flight ticket) and a vacation time of 4 to 5 days(from 16th to 20th of September). This is the schedule and budget I need to work with.
*I want to know the odds of meeting at least 10 to 15 bride-to-be candidates in such a short period of time. I know that this does not mean that I'll return home with a lady at my arm, but who knows, life is full of surprises. May be I might meet someone who is worthy to give it a try with and see if it'll work out. Life thought me never to say never.

Of course I have a couple of questions in mind as you can imagine.

* What contry do you suggest I'd go for my first time considering the amount of budget I have for this trip(including all expenses except the flight ticket)?
* What cities would I go at those countries? Is it true that less industrialized cities are cheaper and the girls over there are more honest in this type of thing?(Do they have marriage agencies in less industrialized cities as well?)
* What strategy would I use?
(a)Marriage agencies(I heard that there are professional daters as well, don't wanna get ribbed off)
(b)Private interpreters who introduce you to their friends
(c)Newspaper adds(Do I have time to set up for all that placing a personals add thing?)
(d)Local hangout places where you meet single ladies

I'll be glad if you can assist me on the topic and make referrals if you have a any.

At 26, and so close to departure date, I will recommend one more time to use luckylovers with bride.ru. Definitely don't use agencies...
Select quickly 2 or 3 large cities (Ex Kiev, Moscow, St Petersburg) and search  for women who meet your criteria within these cities. To search on bride.ru per city, you will need to download the "informer"software (free).

Say in your profile that you will travel very soon. Send email with detailed introduction letter to all women potentially interesting and after first batch of reply, book your flight.
 
And write your letter in russian without specifying you don't speak the language.. this will be for the second letter... there are many translators available on this forum that I am sure will help you.

I've seen a lot of single ladies at the ballet and opera. Plenty of them walking down the street, in parks or the city's main square. The zoo or circus if you don't mind ladies with kids. I'm assuming you're looking for a family oriented RW.

I would recommend agencies, and maybe the bigger cities where it will be easier to meet people speaking English.
You have got one advantage, and that is that a woman can visit you without needing visa.

agencies will be more expensive and at 26 it is just useless...

Are you serious? You are within a five days of making a trip and you don't even know what city you are planning to visit?

I suggest you postpone your trip, save your money, make some contacts with ladies in the city you wish to visit, and then plan your trip again. As of now, you don't have a plan.

Unclestrawberry, I wrote a more detailed reply to you, but I would just say here - use the help of Mila the interpreter, she is in Kharkov, not a big city. i wouldn't rely on agencies.... She will help you with everything at once and will give you a good professional and personal attention that you might need during such a short period of time and so soon. This route sounds more realistic to me than through any agency....

Just my two bits, but if you are not able to put extensive financial resources into this, you're better off waiting until such time that you are.

The road to doing this on the cheap is littered with corpses.

I've never used a walk in full service agency, but I don't understand the advice against using them in this case. Why not? Aren't agencies designed to handle this type of situation and set up guys with multiple last minute dates?

Also, I wouldn't expect to just go and meet women in the streets, the ballet, a museum or a club. I've heard it said before that there are lots of single women in these type of places. I wonder, just because they aren't with a man, how does one know they are single?

Living in Novosibirsk I see lots of girls without men at dinner, at shows, especially at nightclubs where there seems to be 6 women for every man! One night I stayed at a nightclub until 4 AM, then it started to dawn on me. That's when all the boyfriends showed up after boozing in the street while their girls were being fed fancy drinks by the suckers who came early. The ratio didn't look too good then. 

Men often go out with their buddies and women stick with their girl friends. The crowd isn't usually as mixed as what we're used to back home. I think this gives off the impression of single girls being everywhere, when it's not always the case.

Here's what I would do in your situation:

Go to Urkaine. From what I hear there is a higher percentage of women seeking foreigners, no visa required, it's closer and it's cheaper than Moscow or St. Petersburg. Select Kiev or Kharkov or another large city that's easy to get to.

Book a flat for your stay. Don't stay in a hotel.

Search freepersonals.ru and write to every woman that interests you in the city you're going to. Have a standard letter about yourself and what you're looking for and say you'll be in town in a few days.

If you're willing to fork out a bit of cash, sign up with luckylovers and / or bride.ru and do the same as you did with freepersonals.

Log onto love.mail.ru, create a profile with some decent photos. Write about yourself in English, then send a short note to every single woman that catches your eye in the city you're going to. I'm serious, if 1000 women interest you, write to all of them. In your short note, say that you are visiting Kiev (or wherever) next week and would like to meet. That's all.

The problem is that with such short notice it will be difficult to line up more than one date per day. Many women will not get your message on time. Most will be busy working or with school and will be able to meet only in the evening if they can meet at all.

If someone can advise you regarding a trustworthy agency, check it out. They should be able to line you up with last minute dates.

Wait a sec. You have 1500 bucks and 5 days vacation and you expect to go to FSU in 5 days and meet 10 - 15 "bride-to-be candidates" as you put it, with no preparation?

No offense, but am I the only one here who thinks this is ridiculous? Is this even real?

I guess the plane ticket isn't much from Turkey, but then what? You really have three or four full days at best and you have to sleep somewhere and eat and take care of the lady's meal, drinks, and transportation, plus a translator and all those odds and ends. Lets say you do it anyway and somehow organize 4 girls a day, what what kind of a connection do you expect to happen? A good girl is going to be shy and hesitant initially around even the most charming stranger.

And what do you really expect from them? As you say, anything is possible, but put yourself in their shoes. These lovely ladies deserve the very best in a man. One who has the time, resources, and capability to make all her wildest dreams come true.

If you do go to FSU for a spontaneous vacation, consider it that only and enjoy the experience for what it is.
