Hi everyone
« on: January 10, 2009, 01:32:34 AM »
Hi everyone:

i've been reading some very interesting things at this site for a few days now, and i am feeling like it's time for me to start to participate in earnest. i want all of you to know that i have already taken note of the wealth of information and wisdom that is available here, and i really appreciate it.

just a little about me and my interests: in 1995, i graduated from b-school with an M.B.A. in Finance. i have been involved in commercial real estate for about twelve years now. no connection with any kind of residential real estate. i have always had a willingness to go where the jobs are, so i have had exposure to lots of different aspects of COMMERCIAL real estate: banking, investments sales, debt brokerage, and land development. real estate has been really slow lately which kinda sucks. i hope no one reading this would think less of me if i just say that i am feeling a bit ticked off at how the feds have insisted on dismantling our economy. real dummies at work on this for a long time. it is really too bad. tragic really. lots of people hurt by it.

other interests of mine include: languages, teaching, technology, resistance training, and watching certain sports. i also like to pay close attention to what is happening in the US and the world both politically and in the capital markets.

i have studied French and Russian so i know a little bit about both languages.

with the economy as slow as it is, i am now thinking very seriously about living and working in the FSU at least for some period of time; not permanently though. like i said up above, i like to go where the job is.

my interest in RW started up about 1.5 years ago when i discovered the web sites. i have been communicating with women in the FSU ever since then. AW are, for me, too difficult to please. there is just too much drama and gamesmanship required to "tame" most of them. i've dated plenty of attractive AW but almost always felt my interest wane when realizing that i have little in common with them and their approach to dating (or i should say "games").

a buddy of mine married a girl from moscow. i talk with him about his experiences from time to time.

i hope i can be of some assistance to members of this forum as i know i will be getting lots of help from other members as well.

Welcome, ArimisLux.

If you're able to live for an extended period in the FSU, you'll have a leg up on just about every guy searching.

AW are, for me, too difficult to please. there is just too much drama and gamesmanship required to "tame" most of them. i've dated plenty of attractive AW but almost always felt my interest wane when realizing that i have little in common with them and their approach to dating (or i should say "games").

One thing I've concluded is that RW are at least as difficult to please, if not more, than AW. The difference is the rewards are much greater if you're lucky enough to find one who truly loves you.

Good luck!

Welcome ARAMISLUX.

IMHO Groovlstk is absolutely correct.

Russian Women set the bar pretty high, as far as what they expect from their husband's.

But the "reward" of a Russian Woman's love is well worth it.

Welcome!  Sounds interesting, and a solid way to make a good decision finding out if there is interest in FSUW for you.  Commercial real estate has to be anything but boring in Russia.

AramisLux,

Being able to reside in FSU for some time will give you a chance to meet RW just for you.  Seeing somebody in-person, their surroundings and everyday life is invaluable for strong relationship and understanding.  Especially if you know some Russian!

thanks everyone for the warm welcome. it is appreciated.

fyi: i am not friends with anyone going to odessa or any other city in the FSU. my buddy was divorced by his wife from moscow. he is now married to a good filipino girl.

regarding women who are difficult to please, i think we all know that most women irrespective of national origin are difficult to please in one way or another; for example, a woman who demands honesty and reliable behavior may be difficult to please in one way, while at the same time, another woman might be difficult to please just because she wants to be "hard to get", or needs to cause a "scene", or decides to not show up even though she knows exactly what is expected of her. these women always come around afterwords and want to know "what's wrong?" only then do we get a chance to tell them something like: [1] you might try showing up next time someone asks you out on a second date. or, [2] that scene you tried to create last time we were together just is not what i am interested in being a part of.

i have found that, once you have a good time on a first date with someone, it's then that women tend to get very irrational. bet i am not the only one that thinks this.

anyone who might like to share some feedback with me on this, please do. i would hate to go over to odessa or st petersburg and find out that women are just as spoiled, disrespectful, and/or crazy there as they are here.

thanks everyone!
