Possibility of tourist visa?

My wife is arranging a meeting between a Russian friend and one of our male American friends which is likely to result in marriage.

The most "Likely" outcome is you'll lose two friends.

I have no idea about status adjustment but, realistically, she isn't going to front up, meet said dude, marry up and stay put if she has a decent job, an apartment and other assets in Russia. It isn't simply a case of her then deciding to dispose of or rent out the apartment and sell the car over the phone. There seems to be at least one person (If not 4 people) dreaming here and I susepct, if my experience is anything to go by, it is your wife.
