Preston,

I am a little unclear about your situation. Are you already living in the US? What is the "last interview" that you reference - the interview for AOS or the interview for citizenship or . . . ?

Just a tad more information will help with knowing how to answer your questions.

If you are talking about the citizenship (naturalization) test, head out to Borders, Barnes & Noble, or even your local Library. There are easily a dozen different "test prep" books currently available, just like the ones published for the SATs, ASVABs etc. Should be found in the reference section.

Here's an online source for practice tests:

Hello Jet

Thanks for the web addy! That looks like something they would use at that final interview with BCINS! My wife was told about it from a friend of mine that married a Ukrainian women! I do believe that would be some of the questions they would ask her but not sure!

No, not the citizenship test.  It's your AOS interview for changing her Conditional Permanent Resident Alien Card to a Permanent Resident Alien Card.

The interview should be pretty much like the one you had two years ago.  The only difference, I would think, is that they may ask more questions about your family life together (finances, children if any, etc) to confirm you are truly a married couple, and not just one on paper to get past the USCIS requirements.

Good documentation to bring with you would be joint financial accounts (checking/savings, credit cars), insurance, automobile/real estate titles, utility bills, etc.  Basically anything that has both your names on it.

As far as questions -- you two should already know the answers, if you've truly been a married couple for the past two years.

No idea about the 100 questions.  I seriously doubt that the USCIS has a 'question pool' for any interview.  It could be for the citizenship test Jet spoke of.

US Passport -- Nope.  Only US citizens get the blue US passport, not resident aliens.  She would need to receive her US citizenship (and someone else her will have to write about that, for I haven't even looked that far ahead).

About the only difference you will see after this interview is that she'll only need to renew her green card every 10 years (not two), and renewal does not require an interview.

Yes, married with a 7 yo son.  Both received their Conditional Permanent Resident Alien cards nearly a year ago.

Preston,

In order to get this far you had to send in applications for this stuff (or your attorney did). Can you look and see what the application was that got filed last? The only "test" BCIS gives is the citizenship test, but your timeline seems too short (unless there are other factors we don't know - like if you filed for DCF after being married 2 full years abroad). Also, if possible could you tell us what type of visa she came here on? (K-1/K-3/CR-1) It will help solve the mystery so we can help you prepare properly ;)

You said you've been married 3 1/2 years. I've been married just a couple weeks under 2 years and we haven't even gotten my wife's greencard yet , then will come removal of conditional status after 2 years and the ability to file for citizenship 3 years after that (and these are like absolute minimum possible times)

Hi Jet

Yes we got married here in the US and she come over on a K-1 Visa! We have her green card! So the last interview has got to be for her citizenship! Boy! I'm bad with timeline!LOL! If my wife only knew!LOL! We only been married 2 and half years! Come March it will be three years for us and BCINS told us at the last interview that we had to come back between Feb. and April of 2006! So I am guessing that is the last interview but not sure! BCINS also told us if we did not show between those months that I would have to do all paperwork all over again! Hope that helps a little better Jet!

Preston,

If she got her 2-year green card around April 2004, then you must file form I-751 in the 90 day window preceding the 2-year anniversary of the green card issuance. We are getting ready to file also in exactly the same time frame as you. This will remove the conditions only - the citizenship is a another process. Check this link:

http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-751.htm

Note that the fee will increase to $205 on 26 October.
