Hey guys - intro and experiences thus far...

Hi to all!

What a fabulous forum and knowledge bank!

I've spent the last couple of days going through posts and reading up on others' experiences.

First - a little about me:

I'm 41 years old, Australian and never married.  I've had a mixed bag of relationships over the years and seem to get stuck finding a woman who i find attractive physically and mentally PLUS (notice caps!) is generally emotionally stable. 

I have generally been having relationships with women who are around 8 years younger than myself - i haven't met many (or any for that matter) women my age that i find attractive.

I've done a great exercise which has helped me hone my list of 'musts' in a woman.  A friend recommended it to me.  I wrote down the top 100 things that i want in a woman and then, through internal discourse and much gnashing and gnawing, i settled on my top 10 of 'musts'.  I wasn't too surprised with the outcome but it has made me very clear about what would be nice (eg shared a passion for the outdoors) versus a must (eg must be adventurous).

I was talking to someone recently about my lack of success and he happened to have made a number of trips to the FSU in recent years.  He half jokingly said that if i headed over there that i would probably return married a month later!

So i decided why not start to look into this (hence my nick). 

Thus far, i have been swapping emails and phone calls with about 5 women - mainly through Elena's models and RussianEuro. 

I am planning a trip (prob within the next month) and am starting to distill my thoughts about the approach.  My current thinking is to meet up with the top 3 or so women i've been communicating with and also meet some through an agency.

I'll post as my mission for a RW progresses.

Sounds like you have already done a lot of reading, thinking and planning for your adventure to the "promise land".

Your approach seems very reasonable.  I am glad you are educating yourself and researching the info on this forum.  It's extremely helpful.

If you already have women to meet, you are right not too wait for long, but go and meet with them.

There are couple of Ozzie members, Kuna and I/O, who frequent the RWD forums, yet not as much now that they have married and living in bliss.

One of your statements really confuses me.  When listing what you would seek in a woman, how can you get up to the number 100?  I had trouble thinking of a second item for the list.      No, not that!   I fell for the woman with whom I could talk spontaneously and endlessly about anything and everything.   

If you do marry one of these sweet yet strong-willed RW, I imagine your list will be reinvented, with you making a number of accommodations.

Gator: re getting up to 100, i just repeated #2 another 98 times !  Seriously, it may take a while to come up with 100 but the clarity that follows after you cull it back to 10 is worth it and challenge some pre-conceived notions i had.

A true story: one of my buddies many years ago back in Sydney, Australia was in a pub and approached by a RW out of the blue - she was obviously attracted to him - and asked him apparently without preamble "what is your breeding"  He was just gobsmacked.  You've got to love that!
