When I went to visit my wife in Omsk, I stayed for 3 month's.

When I got ready to leave, I decided to give Marina my Sony laptop computer for her flat (now I had an excuse to go buy a new one!).

Anyway, when she finally arrived here in the GoodOl'USA, I noticed that the her laptop keyboard had all of the Cyrillic symbols "taped" on the keys.

Marina had cut little pieces of white paper, printed the Cyrillic letters on each piece of paper and then scotch taped them to the keys on the laptop.  8)

Of course I bought her something like this after her arrival:

One of our highly guarded secrets here at RWD is the RWD Storefront (do NOT look in the left frame). If you were to stumble onto it somehow and open the "Computers" link (or click this -- http://astore.amazon.com/russianwome08-20?%5Fencoding=UTF8&node=7), you might be surprised at what you find.

But don't tell anyone. We need to keep it a secret.   ;D

I am from Omsk too, my parents still live there.

I would like to hear more about how the ladies feel about these computer translation gagets.
Perhaps [I guess] the younger generation is quite into the texting scene.
