I've gotten quite a few PM's from folks asking me where they can get a great recipe for kvass, the bread-based invigorating beverage. I tell them I don't know and that I don't really have that much knowledge after all, I've never attended chef school in Ukraine or the Russia, although I can  put together a pretty good run-on sentence when I'm bored and lethargic and down and out.
 

I need to change my diet.
So does anyone out here have a good kvass recipe they can share with us? Elen? Natalya? Kvassna? Eminem? Jack? I need to be invigorated about now. Thanks mucho. ...Also, if you have a recipe for borsch.

We make a drink called "vinnie" that Elena likes very much (and god help me it's good for you too!). Take a 1 gallon glass jar, put 1 cup of apple cider vinegar and 1 cup of honey (we use a natural honey which I think has a better flavor), pour in some boiling water to melt/mix it up then add regular water to fill up the jar. Elena drinks it over ice and says that she likes it better than kvas.
