Translation Question

Are the translator programs prone to fudging numbers like a persons age?  I ask because it seems unlikely that a woman would say she is older than she really is.  Why would a woman say she is 38 when she is really 33?  I think more specifically why would a woman enter her birth date indicating she is 38 but say she is 33 in her email/letter?  I've seen this a couple of times now and I suspect it is most likely an innocent keyboard error or the translator programs foul up numbers.

Most likely a typo IF the her actual age is younger than the indicated age in her profile. If the other way, she likely fudged the numbers.

So they claim to be younger when they write to you then their profile on the website? Something doesn't seem right. I'd ask why. Tough to build a relationship without any trust.

One women I was highly interested in was immediately crossed off my list when I found out she lied about her age even though I repeatedly asked her about the discrepancies I had found. This was one of the 2 main issues I had with her but it started the lack of trust that resulted in the end of our relationship.

She could easily correct her profile to reflect the correct age if she wanted to.

A translator program? Not that I could think of.

Don't know if this will help but are you aware that we and they express dates differently? Ex: Today is 06-17-09 to us, but to a Russian it is 17-06-09. Usually first time travelers have to watch this mistake in applying for a travel visa as our 10-11 is October 11 but to the Russian Consulate it is 10 November. So are you reading birth dates correctly?
