Going down memory lane

Good to hear that people got something out of my post. Gator, to answer your question, the woman I planned on seeing got a paycut at her job and started demanding money from me. Specifically, $1000 a month. So, I dumped her and went back to the keyboard to set up dates. My friend Ray and his wife had concerns about her and I sensed she was interested in the "good life" of travel, restaurants, had a beautiful flat, etc, so I was somewhat prepared. She was not prepared for this life possibly ending or being on hold since the crisis. Now, she is still on the sites trying to find that rich guy who will provide the life she can no longer provide for herself.
  I rented a room from a 35 yrs old Russian guy who is dating an 18 yr old. But he is not happy! I tried to tell him to consider himself lucky. We went out and met a few women on the street. Nothing came out of meeting them but it was a good time. I also tried mail.ru but most of the women were not interested in leaving Moscow. My Russian friend told me about how many crazy Russian women he meets. Interestingly, his local internet dating experience is so much different than here. He would get messages every day from women in Moscow. I also saw how women from other cities were trying to find Russian men in Moscow.
  I met an Armenian woman and had a great time with her. She was very pleasant to be with. But since my return, the letters have dropped off. It did not surprise me since her family has a good financial situation and her brother is practically a millionaire. She also was concerned about going from Moscow to a smaller city.

I wanted to add about the comments about AM are losers, etc. The women I met in Moscow had things going for them. None of them were desperate. I enjoyed their company and they seemed to enjoy mine.
  But here, I met women who were overweight or who were average that were fickle about who they date. As one of my friends used to say, "I am tired of getting shot down by women with dead end jobs with or a couple kids."
   Some men I met over the years were crazy, some were older men looking for women too young for them, and some were decent guys. Were any of them stud types? Probably not. But to characterize most men as losers is not accurate. It also assumes that most women are healthy and rational as well as attractive so if you can't find them in the US, something must be wrong with you. This is not the case.
