Does anyone have any good information on Cherry Blossoms dating service? The website seems legit and the reviews that I have found seem to be true. But I was wondering if anyone here could provide me more info on this website.

This probably won't be much help.  When I saw you asking about Cherry Blossoms it brought back some very buried memories.  All I can say is I used them probably around 15 years ago and at the time they were very reputable.   The other plus is the others I used in that era, Club Prima, International Friends and Latin-Euro Introductions have been gone for more than a decade so they have stood the test of time as well.

I have never heard anyone here mention them so I can't say they are mainstream for the people here but doing something different is not all bad.  They were heavier in those days in Asian and S.A women but had some eastern European woman.  I wrote my first RW though them and I recall showing everyone the photo of her standing in front of the Kremlin.  Writing to RW was not the in thing to do in those days.   Sometimes when I later saw the photos of Russian women dressed to the nines and made up like a movie star I thought back to the disclaimer Cherry Blossoms had in their catalog in those days.   It was something to the effect that Russian women had been taught not to smile in photos and wore plain clothes and no makeup but in reality they were often quite attractive.   The photos you would get in those day had clothing that looked like KGB issue, the hair was usually in a tight bun and no makeup, still nice features though.  There was no resemblence to the photos you see on the home pages of the MOB industry today.

Hi there! While working an agency interpreter before, we used this web site a lot and all i can say, there are lots of scam. But it is up to you to decide. I would never advise my clients to use this web site, never! Good luck.

Recently I placed my profile on this site...at the urging of a friend of mine who is a die hard keyboard Romeo.  In less than a month over 600 women, almost 100% Asian, either sent me e-mails or "smiles".  At least half of them were under 25 and many under 20.  I couldn't log on without someone buzzing me to chat.  Even if you'd be looking for Asian women, trying to separate the scammers from non-scammers is a monumental task.  Of the handful of Ukraine women, I sent a smile to 5 of them with one response.  I later found her profile on Army of Brides and Anastasia.  Need I say more.  If you're looking for a Russian or Ukraine woman, it's a waste of time.  If you're looking for an Asian woman, you're highly more likely to run into a scammer than a real woman.  Of course, there are the real women who are so impoverished that they will marry a man 30-50 years older than they are.  You'll also be faced with financially supporting their large Catholic families.  When I lived in Hawaii where many guys married women from the Phillipines, the saying was "Marry the woman, marry the family".  If a guy is looking for a country where "age and appearance" doesn't matter, then go to the Phillipines and you'll have a good chance of finding one.  While I'm sure there are many sincere Asian women, using a site like Cherry Blossoms or some of the others will be more a matter of luck than anything else.  Good Luck.

I want to confirm what CCowboy said about the Pinay ladies..

a lot of people live in homes with no electricity and dirt floors.  They will do ANYTHING to get out.  Marriage to a foreigner is highly prized.

If one is looking for Pinay there is certainly no reason to use an agency.  There are tons of internet cafes all over the Phils and tons of girls spending all day online searching for a way out of that mess.

BTW.. the GCG stories that originate in the Phils make what we suffer from FSUWs pale in comparison.  Buyer beware.

IMO any woman from mainland China looking for a foriegn husband is most likely a GCG also.  Why?  Take a look at the gender population disparity in China.  There are a lot mroe men than women.  A very pretty Chinese girl should have no problem finding a suitable Chinese man.

Thailand?  Whoa.. the risk there is quite obvious.  Though, from reading some Thailand boards it seems there are plenty of old fat guys getting married to bar girls and somehow making it work.  Although, they seem to stay in Thailand.

RW are different than Chinese Women.  But be careful as many are still married when they go after second husband two.  First husband is OK as he knows she is only helping the financial situation until second husband is kicked to curb.  China is a dirt poor country.  Economy is 25% or less of USA but 4 times the amount of people.  I have been to China many times and not very impressed on how women and men behave their.  This is not all Chinese women.  If you really want a good Chinese girl, just take a job in China and you will be married within 6 months. Remember Hong Kong and Taiwan women are different than mainland China.

Years ago, Cherry Blossoms was a snail mail dating service and was mostly Indonesian or Philippina girls...
Addresses were a couple $$ each including pictures.
Now it's web-based and more international and joining is free it says..

I think some of those Asian girls are really fine.
Best of luck

I had signed up for Cherry Blossoms, and I had a lot of scammers contacting me.  So, proceed at your own risk.
Feel free to pm me, if have any advice, questions, or anything else.

I was a member of Cherry Blossoms a million years ago.  Actually I wrote my first RW through them and was a little amazed when she answered and sent me a photo of her standing in front of the Kremlin.

One of the things I noticed was that the letters sounded so much alike.  Hundreds of letters and most all started off something like.  Hi, I will bet you are surprised to get a letter from so far away  (humm, not too surprised since there were 20 others that day.) I figured it out fairly quickly when I got about three letters that on the top right where the date should be were the handwritten words "Put actual date here".  I do believe most RW would be able to figure out what they were supposed to write there.

At that time CB was a great value.  I have mentioned this in the past but they had a disclaimer at the time about Russian Women.   Bear in mind they was about the time the USSR was disintegrating.   The disclaimer said not to be too concerned that the photos of RW looked rather plain and severe.  That many of the women were actually quite attractive but the generally did not wear much make up or have good hair styles and were trained not to smile in photos.  How that has changed.  I do recall some of the RW who wrote me in those days had shoes that must have been USSR issue that looked more like combat boots and their hair was often in a tight bun.

I haven't been on this site for years and I see that there are still some old members from RWG. Turboguy, thought you were retired by now  ;)
About Cherry Blossoms. Three years ago I met my girlfriend on that site. Yes, many women invite you to chat and yes, there are women trying to get money. But it is the same with RW, use your common sense and you can find the right one for you. When it comes to supporting the family there are men stupid enough to send money(every month). Here, also use your common sense. The members of the family are not disabled and can earn money by working themselves, so why support them? Not all of them are living bad, in fact, I have met families who are doing very well. Good luck in your decision of using the right site or agency.
