Scam 101
« on: November 25, 2005, 04:10:00 PM »
Would like to share a little information with, and for, the many newby's who are reading the RWD.

Their are many different types of scams out there. And each scam has different variations. Scamming and scammers are probably a bit overplayed these days. Their is a whole lot more good that goes on than scamming but scamming and scammers is what makes the headlines, what people will talk and cry about. As guys become more educated and knowledgeable as to the many different aspects as to the pursuit for a Russian bride they become less "scam able".

Here is one very common scam that is going on in the industry today. A beautiful, often seductive, photo of a woman is posted. The text associated with this photo indicates this young woman, usually in ages from 21 to 27, many times prefer men who are 20 to 30 years older than themselves.  For the purpose of discussing this type scam we will say that the woman's name associated to this particular profile is Yulia Burtsova.

And their really is a Yulia Burtsova. But Yulia is not really 22 years of age, she is more likely to be 29 or 33 or 39 years of age and she looks more like a water buffalo than the photo she submitted.

Yulia also has another job, she also owns a translation service company, but she does not tell us this. So Yulia will write us either from her own computer in her flat, or from an i-net cafe.  Many, I think most, Yulia Burtsova's have a computer at home and is one of the reasons Yulia's are replying to e-mails at all times of the day, even during the middle of the night Russian or Ukraine time. These Yulia's work a lot of hours. If Yulia was a smart scammer (and their are some very smart scammers, but usually the Yulia Burtsova type scammers are not so smart) she would have a file system set up, she would be keeping much better track of what she wrote, when she wrote. But because Yulia is writing so MANY different men, it's almost impossible to keep a tracking system. Yulia is writing a LOT of men. So many men that all Yulia has to do is find one or two out of a hundred, and she usually finds more men than that. Yep, just as with most of us men and considering it a numbers game, it's the same with the scammers. So Yulia is writing lot's of men.

In about Yulia's third e-mail she will mention that she is using "Executive translations" or "Starlitz translations" or "One Love translations", and it's just some micky-mouse name she just made up. Then in either Yulia's fourth or fifth e-mail you get a message from the 'Director' of "Executive translations" writing you that Yulia's account is now over.

Here is the exact wording from such a scam company,......Dear Mr. .......... Unfortunately,  Julia  can't  reply to your letter because her account with  our firm is over. As you know, she used services of internet and translator.  She  is  very  upset  of  this  fact  of impossibility to correspond  with  you  but  she  is very interested in you as well. If you're  interested in the girl, we can send you information about our service and payment. We hope for our future cooperation.

Sincerely Yours
Principal "Correspondent"

And sure enough in the next e-mail to newby Joe instructions are given as to how to send money by Western Union to Julia Burtsova. See, their really is a Yulia Burtsova, but it's not the lady in photo that you think you are writing. Yulia took the beautiful photos of a Russian woman who was listed with another agency. The old Yulia Burtsova's used to take the photos of new models but they were getting discovered more quickly this way so the new Yulia Burtsova's are taking photos of real beautiful Russian women from other Internet sites.

I personally know of four very good and sincere beautiful Russian/Ukraine women who have had their photos taken and used by scammers. And eventually the guys these scammers were scamming caught on that they were being scammed and reported such scammers to some of the anti-scam sites. And as a result some good women have their photos posted on some scam sites. All because some scammers stole their photos and put the name Yulia Burtsova under the photos picture.

Men, remember this, many good women are having their photos used for scamming purposes. I think well over 50% of the photos we see of scammers today are of women who have no idea that their photos have been used for scamming purposes.

Many newby Joe's will send money to Yulia by Western Union to continue to correspond with her.

This is the basic's as to how scam 101 works.

Scam 101 agency/scammer busted part 1

Would like to go over some of the events with busting a scam 101 operation in the past few days.
Had a client, newby Joe, who was writing Julia Moroz.  Julia is quite an attractive lady. Newby Joe wants to make sure Julia is real so he ask's me for some help. I ask newby Joe if I can read her e-mails, he says yes and I tell him it's pretty much a scam but he can prove it I think by trying to get the ladies home address or telephone. So newby Joe ask's the Director Oleksandr Petrov for Julia's phone number and address. Of course Julia does not have a phone and newby Joe is given the address Zhukova Block, 5b,100 Lugansk.  (....Yep, Lugansk. No getting around it, Lugansk is the scam capitol of Ukraine. But let me add again, their are many beautiful and sincere Ukraine/Russian women who are seeking marriage to a good foreign man who live in and around Lugansk. Lugansk is a goldmine of beautiful women. But there are many scam agencies in Lugansk, scam agencies like "Executive translations" or "Starlitz translations" or "One Love translations".  Their are also good and honest marriage agencies in Lugansk and these are the key to the goldmine of women in this area rich with many real beauties...)    So we send some of our associates to this address with a single red rose and note to Yulia. But no Yulia lives here, just an elderly couple.

So we tell newby Joe that the address is not real. So newby Joe writes the agency and tells them the address is bad and the agency writes...

So newby Joe thinks something is not right and I say "duhhhhh" but he wants more than my duhhhhh answer.
Newby Joe wants to find this woman Julia Moroz, as she is quite a beautiful woman and newby Joe has already fallen for the photo, he wants to find this woman, he insist on finding this woman.

Ok, how to find this woman I ask myself? Ahhhh, the obvious thing to do would be to seek the one guy who advertises this service the most, Sterlitz. But it looks like Sterlitz is half-owner of another board and he uses it to groom his customers therefore I believe it has a biased attitude and he cannot be trusted, so we set out on our own to find this lady Julia Moroz.

So after a little work and effort we find out that Julia Moroz from Lugansk is really Natalia Ivanova from Moscow who lives on Kutuzovskii pr.

Newby Joe writes Oleksandr Petrov and tells him that this woman Julia is really Natalia Ivanova from Moscow.

That's it. That's all Oleksandr and Julia have to say. Must be a mistake. Even when the real lady associated with the photos they have stolen and are using are brought to their attention, it must be some mistake. Now all Julia and Oleksandr will do is to get rid of this one e-mail address, and probably photo, and proceed with a new photo and e-mail address. Busted does not mean busted as in them getting in trouble, busted only means they have to now come up with a new photo and e-mail address which they will.

After receiving this e-mail I told newby John to ask for Tanya's flat address, as he needed it before he would send her money by Western Union.

In so case, asking to Tanya for write in Russian is the best way... i know several link to free online translating system... each not perfect but the use of two allow to understand letter...

Of course, if you are too much lazy for make some work on your side, don't be surprised to be scammed...

In some case, it can appear that "Tanya" cannot write you in russian... simply because she is "mohammed" located in Turkey... a other man who have game with your "balls" during several week...
