Germany Calling?

Well, anyone from Germany here?

I'm thinking of spending a year in Berlin, anyone PM me with any experience of living there, especially taxation, and the seemingly onerous flat renting procedure, kaltmeiter, warmmeiter etc!

I'm UK so I have the rights to live and work etc, but I just know I'll have to register with the German Authorities. Oh and I must remember to learn German before I go. Looks a lot easier then Russian, harder than French...

Lived and had businesses there for over 15 years.. not Berlin area though.

PM for any specifics you might need.

Most pubs still have an official closing time though.. I think it's still 2AM.:(
