Hey there everybody.  Ok so I've been a member at 2 different sites that had women from various countries.  I was able to get email addresses from women on the first site.  It was a free site to browse, but I had to pay to read and send emails.  I emailed several women, and ended up exchanging several emails with 2 or 3.  I ended up finding the same exact emails of a few of the ladies posted on the web, so I realized they were scams.  I stopped paying and left the site.  Also, many of the emails from the ladies never seemed to answer the questions that I asked them.  They just seemed to be new emails that were not part of any conversation.

So that was probably a year ago.  Just a few days ago I signed up for another site.  It seems to be more of the same.  All of the women like me a lot (in their first emails), and they are very romantic...bla bla bla.  Sounds like they are just trying to reel me in for something.  I've emailed a few ladies back and forth through the site (cannot email away from the site), and again, it seems like nonsense.

So here I am...discouraged.  What is my next step?  Does anybody have a good place for me to start a real search?  I'm tired of paying $20-$30 a month for BS.

First off, welcome! Glad to have you here. As for your situation, it sounds typical of a lot of sites. Try writing some of the women on the local dating sites. Usually they are free and many not have English interfaces.

I must say that $20-$30/month is nothing in the grand scheme of what this is going to cost you. I was spending that much a day on phone calls to my woman.

If any woman professes to be madly in love with your or very romantic on the first letter, you instincts are right on the money, they are likely scamming you are at the very least insincere.

Using an agency will be even more expensive. If you are very cost conscious, this is not the pursuit for you. It can be done a tight budget but quite honestly it isn't going to be easy. I am not saying that is your situation but be realistic about the costs. I approached it from the perspective of going on an interesting vacation and if I met someone in my travels, then great, if not, I had an interesting vacation. I also lived and worked in Russia for a while so that helped out a bit too.

Do some research on what sites also have a bad reputation. If a woman is not answering your direct questions, it is definitely not a good sign. So far your instincts seem to be looking out for you. Don't get discouraged! It isn't easy at times but it is worth the effort.

EM is a great place to get your feet wet for a flat rate.

Look over the interface, put some searches together, avoid translator usage and surf their database to see how you do selecting gals.

ECOCKS has some good advice. EM = Elena's Models in case you didn't know. There is a list of acronyms "hidden" on this website of course. Not all of the abbreviations are there though. I just thought I'd save a bit of time in case you didn't know what EM meant.

sorry to hear about your web agency experiences... yes, another thumbs up for ElenasModels as a great place to begin if you want some serious correspondence with sincere ladies. You still have to watch out for less than sincere ladies, but they are much fewer and farther between there.  And now the caveat -- EM is not such a great place if you want to meet many ladies in the same city.  the problem is it is almost guaranteed that the lades in whom you'll have interest and reciprocal interest will be scattered all over the place. No doubt you have one in Moscow, another in Omsk, another in Vladivostok, one who migrated to Sweden, two in Kiev while you contemplate that one in Belarus... you get the idea. A logistical nightmare for actually meeting them.  

Soooo, Mamba or Singles.ru is free, has an english interface, and a gazillion ladies in every city you would ever wish to visit, but, not necessarily looking to meet a foreigner. I met my current interest on EM but could have found her on singles.ru had I actually looked there BUT her profile was much more readable on EM.

Check many places and go with those which feel most comfortable to you.  And be patient with the search.  It will probably take time to find a really special match, time to court her, time to win her love, time for her to (fill in the blank).. lots of time so don't get ahead of yourself in any phase of this.  And most of all, relax and have fun! There can be setbacks and disappointment, but it's also a blast.

Freepersonals is best. Mamba requires you have some Russian because many women there do not have English.

You may also want to have a look at Russian Euro - i met 2 decent women through the site and got emails from many genuine women - there are scammers too though.

Singles.ru has an english interface and if you pay the small fee to become a member you can search women who profess to speak English (even though this ranges from "hello" to completely fluent....you don't know till you begin..)

Singles.ru is like being a billionaire in a Ferrari dealership, the giddiness and anticipation is unbearable.

Try it. But make sure please that you have some good photos of yourself. Pay if you have to. No half-naked webcam shots with beer cans and porn magazines in the background...
