I frequently use a little oil even in recipes that stipulate only butter.  It stops the butter from burning so easily and is a little healthier than going with ALL butter.

Each to their own though...  I like the taste of butter but I know it's not good for my veins.

Go with butter though if you prefer... the recipe worked really well!

Does anyone have any good Russian dessert recipe?

Very easy and fast apple pie:
1. Apply some butter on the form. Cut the apples by the thin slices-fill it up about 2 inches
2. In another bowl mix 4 eggs,1 cup of sugar,1 cup of flour,a cinnamon(grounded)
3.Cover the apples with the mix.Put in the oven for about 45 minutes until it covers by a brown crust.
