How do you call this part of the car where a girl lays?



My dictionary says it is a bonnet but google gives me pictures of old hats. When I try cowling, it gives me air planes  :-[

Here in the US we call it the hood.

In Russia we call that part of car as капот  (kapot) from French capote.
