I find Asian and Indian accents funny.

Do you laugh to their face?  :D  If so, they will usually laugh with you.

At a Club Med in Thailand, for breakfast we got seated at an Asian table.  One couple from Korea, another from Japan and the third from China.  All were conversing freely in English, presumably because none understood the other's language.  What was really funny is that I had trouble understanding what they were saying.  They had no such trouble, so maybe substituting r's for l's and other mispronunciations is the way English is taught throughout the Orient.

Almost anybody has difficulties in uttering sounds not native to their own language ;). The English -TH- sound is alien to Russian, to most Latin languages (except Castilian Spanish), and even to a cognate language like German - and is often replaced by -Z-.

Not difficult for Arabs, who even have 2 different letters in their alphabet to differentiate th-in from th-is.

The Irish simply drop the "h" in th-.

Iranians could pronounce th- but not w's, replacing the w with a v.  "Windshield wiper" sounded like a rare venomous snake.

My most difficult sound is the kh- and gh- common in Arabic and Farsi.  Oddly, the French and Dutch have related sounds.  Then again, I am nearly tone deaf.

At times. Some Asians are not able to say "ks", "x". So when they say "fax me..." it may sound like "fak me..."  :-X  ;D
It's your problem if you take my posts too seriously.

It is not the way it is taught, but how the sound is to the ears of the people.
I remember in Argentina finding some of the Spanish words pronounced different from Spanish. The interesting thing was that if I pronounced it the Argentinian way people would not uderstand me, while there was no problem if I pronounced them in Spanish.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

My wife asked me if I could figure eight something for her.
She meant to say figure out.
