Do not try to find FSU people on dating websites, it is a difficult and fail proposition.  By use of alternative websites that I used before as a way to meet more Russians/Ukrainians to practice Russian... I've met tons.

I have close to 30 Russian/Estonian/Uzbek/Ukrainian/Latvian friends I met through alternative means for free and 24 girls/6 guys... and they are all still my friends... a lot of the girls have boyfriends and that's totally cool, it wasn't the point to "hook up" or meet for marriage, just people to talk to ...

Anyhow, 5 of the girls are now very cool friends with me... email me, social network with me, call me/I call them... I have even spoken to some of their boyfriends and told them, my house is here for them if they travel this way.

Every one of these girls have tried to tell me about friends they would like to introduce me to, but I told them I'm dating someone right now and would be unfair and they accepted this.  But it's cool cause they are looking out for me... what's funnier is I told one... i have to be honest,  you do realize I'm not European/White right? She says "I know, but didn't want to seem rude and ask an ignorant question"... I told her what I was and said.. I doubt many girls in Novo would like me much.  She said "are you kidding? girls here love men who look super athletic like you! I can take you to any club and you will meet 20 beautiful russian girls in one night or I can introduce you to 4 right now who have asked me already but want your permission first.

I'm like... WOW! Seriously, I've been paying for this BS?!?!?!  This would have been much easier to look for friends, be a real friend... and see what happens.  I have one friend flying in in August (a guy) from Moscow who will be at my place for 2 weeks.  Dating websites to me are like a meat market with meat having weapons... the butcher may be selling the meat, but the meat has no intention to go home and be dinner.

In the more natural course, it seems easy to simply be a friend... cause friends look out for friends.. and I never even mentioned to any of them my desire to meet Russian women.  How awesome, is that.

Summary: FSU women/men are very cool people
Dating agency girls: are plastic and not worth spending your time on... unless you just want some temporary drama in your life... and a lighter wallet.

Not the best thing--I'll have to get back to you on that one.

I have learned that there must be WM who give RW/UW money having met only over the internet having never met them, because if they didn't that scam would have died a long time ago.  This is taken to the level of the absurd such that within two exchanges of communication the discussion is escalated to money.

Plus.. I think that the percentage of women on most dating sites who are sincere... are miniscule compared to those just playing around or trying to make easy money at another's expense.

Reading your other thread, I presume what you mean by dating sites are sites aimed at foreign men looking for Russian women where men pay per letter and pay for web chatting... You were using A-Web or something like that?

Yes, one of our most basic rules on validating and building a relationship involves getting communications under your control and away from an agency, per use situation.

As for your interpretations and conclusions regarding how "cool" the FSU is, go visit a few times and meet some assorted parents and family in society then let us know how you view this issue.

The best thing I learned was the stuff from the experienced men... the proven ones... the ones with the harsh advice and the reality checks.  There's too much BS advice and too many dreamers imagining what it would be like...  but they only have their fantasies at the end of the day.

There are MANY ways to meet a FSUW...  some ways work better for some men,  and there is no cookie cutter process for finding and marrying a good woman - BUT, there are higher and lower risks things you can do.

Don't write off all "dating" sites,  they are proven to work -just look around at the married men in here.  Dreams and fantasies cause more failures than the scam sites like A-Web.  Control the fantasies and you can't get scammed.

If you're looking for friends social networking is great...  I'm yet to see a high population of men in here who've successfully married through social networking sites, even though they've been promoted very heavily as "the amazing new way of doing things" by some men.

This is total BS.  There are plently  of great FSUW on dating sites.  Just stay away from the pay per letter websites.  Use only the websites where you pay a monthly fee for unlimited contact.

This is total BS also.  There are cool people in every country  and uncool people in every country.  On average, I would say the FSU people tended toward the uncool end however.
