many or most American women who work do not help pay the mortgage or other household expenses, they work so they can buy makeup, clothes, and other unnecessary stuff.  they still expect their husbands to pay the mortgage, food, etc.  if you are the exception to the rule than I commend you. 

I don't think Boethius is the exception to the rule because I also know American women who help pay the mortgage or other household expenses.

BTW we have a joke in Russia: What is difference between Western Feminism and Russian Feminism? While Western women fight for the right to earn money equally with men, Russian women fight for the right to spend all the money that earned by their husbands

Again, this ought not be a team sport - boys against the girls.  There are macro changes at work, and these are grounded in logic and facts.  The quote above does show that neither gender reports increased "happiness" with the changes underway.  Perhaps that is the next chapter (too early to write now)   How do both genders find purpose, balance, and mutual fulfillment in these new social paradigms?

Most women in America work and help pay the bills. 

Per hour worked women make the same as men in large companies but many women tend to work part-time or little overtime and reason for pay difference in large companies as the media reports pay but not by hour. 

If your looking for a woman to contribute financially I would not try to marry a woman overseas as in most cases she is not going to make anywhere near an American woman over a 15 year period.
