"What a beautiful and wonderful my day has passed...." was one memorable line in her several
snail-mail letters to me. Back then I considered that the time and effort a woman would have
to expend in crafting an old-fashioned Air Mail postal letter was a huge green flag.

Now ~ I cannot believe how quickly eight years have passed since we married. Here's to more !!

Eight years!  That is indeed a long time, yet not surprising.  Your temperament has always impressed me as someone made for marriage to one of these intriguing beauties.  

Her letter may have been one of the last genuine letters written!  My sincere congratulations to the two of you.  I am certain there will be another 8 years, a life together in fact.

Thanks everybody....  being we're likely older than most here, we're sometimes told we're in
the "winding down" stage, with grandchildren appearing and retirement looming. But we continue
to look ahead - there are many places around this world we haven't been yet, and a pair of
daughters yet to marry off.

Grats Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn. It's great to read people that are happy with their marriage. When speaking of your wife, you speak highly of her and occasionally proudly post pics of your pride and joy. That's the way it's supposed to be. It's easy to navigate around the scammers and gold diggers but finding a great woman is the hard part. Don't let her go Vaughn.
